Good Afternoon,
I wanted to send this message to display my dissatisfaction with your hotel and accommodations. My wife, 3 year old daughter, and myself stayed at the Mt Olympus Villages this past weekend and were very disappointed.
First off, quality of the room. The room we had was in building 19 (directions given were left out of the parking lot, right at the second light, and a left at Nig’s bar) was pretty terrible at the price point we paid. Floor was peeling, room smelled of heavy air freshener, old mini-fridge that was very loud throughout the evening, cigarette burns of the floor, bathroom fan was extremely loud due to the caked on dust in it that puffed up a cloud whenever it turned on, hair all over the shower stall, and the floor was sticky. The room was poorly kept and and required cleaning, or at the least some attention.
Second note, quality of the Indoor water park. Upon entering the water park, the changing areas were littered with towels and trash, which was still there over an hour later. The toilets were covered in feces and hadn’t looked to have been cleaned in some time. Also, can you please inform me why a simple 1′ square locker costs $10 for a day, with most of your rooms requiring travel from remote buildings, people will have keys, phones, and clothing that they want to keep safe, as well as the cards that have access into their rooms.
Third and last on my list was service. Frankly one that is the most important in the “Service” Industry. The staff at the front desk was inconsiderate at check-in and offering exorbinate rates to be moved to Hotel Rome from the Villages. Lifeguards at the pool did nothing to enfore rules, and most just stared blankly at a single spot in their area, no scanning, no roaming to check around, just staring. Due to the poor room conditions we did not wish to spend a second night in that hotel room. I went to the front desk to speak to them about it and they immediately offed to refund me my money for the second night, which I appreciate however, they were rather apathetic about us wishing to leave early and acted like this is very common to them. They did not ask what made us unhappy about the room or if there was anything they could help with, retaining business did not seam to matter to them which I would imagine does not work out well in the long run for a hotel business.
Overall, we will no longer be staying on your properties. We have had good experiences in the past, but that is no longer the case.
